Finding Joy

In my morning catch-up texts and dm’s, my friend Steve and I shared the ups and downs of life. How for each of us, there have been substantially more downs. Our mutual friend Carol, passed away a year ago on August 3rd. We can’t believe how much time has went by and also the concept of how slow life goes at times.

I expressed the thought: “we have to seek out joy, it’s hard to come by.” and I think I have a new positive mantra to get me through this season of grief.

Psalm 9:2 I will be glad, yes, filled with joy because of you. I will sing your praises, O Lord God above all gods.

Psalm 28:7 He is my strength, my shield from every danger. I trusted in him, and he helped me. Joy rises in my heart until I burst out in songs of praise to him.

Romans 5:2 For because of our faith, he has brought us into this place of highest privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to actually becoming all that God has had in mind for us to be.
