What do you rejoice most about when it comes to your love of Mother Earth? In Springtime, I’m thankful for the beautiful buds and blooms, the sunshine, birds chirping and blue skies. Earth Day was celebrated around the world on April 22nd. I missed it because I was traveling, so today am spreading my gratitude around like the wisps of a dandelion.
What does the Lord say about nature?
Isaiah 40:8 ……….The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.”
1 Kings 6:18 The inside of the temple was cedar, carved with gourds and open flowers. Everything was cedar; no stone was to be seen.
Genesis 1:29 Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.
Personally, I think God is disappointed that we’ve cared so little for the earth the past 75 years, but glad that we have found ways to heal her. Love your Mother Earth is not a hippy saying, it’s a way of life.
By loving the earth, you are loving your Father.
Matthew 22:37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’
